Hi, My name is Nokuthula Christinah Mabhena. I’m an IT intern at a small monitoring and evaluation company in Johannesburg, South Africa. I love web development and programming, currently fixing up my css skills and learning PHP.
When people don’t know your abilities, they assume “you know nothing so we won’t give you anything”, but when you prove your skill, the work doesn’t stop flowing in. Working is great, many people do not have the privilege of having a job so I appreciate all that I have . . . I would appreciate having a life too.
Not too long ago, single became lonely and that is a very draining feeling that many do and few don’t understand. When you leave your desk, you go home to paperwork, a DVD or a video game. Like a little social networking is a cure, no chance.
Is 20 a little too young to be drowning in a dream. I want to be good at what I do and I know I will be but sometimes I feel like I am in too much of a hurry to get to that level where I am satisfied with who I am . . . professionally. Driving too fast to enjoy the scenery (and I don’t even have a license). I guess we all work at our own pace. I fear a lot of things; Spiders, snakes, hospitals, ghosts, electricity and chickens too, failure is in that list too.
